Before, during and after: Laser Vein Treatment

Show the guide

Thread-vein laser treats the face, so the preparation is about calm, untanned skin and an honest list of your medicines.

Before

  • Avoid sun, sunbeds and self-tan on the face in the weeks before.
  • Pause retinol and exfoliating acids for several days beforehand.
  • Tell us about medicines that make skin sensitive to light, and about blood thinners.
  • Redness can be visible for a short while afterwards, so plan around events.
  • Come with clean skin and no make-up.

During

  • You wear eye protection, and the handpiece is guided along the visible veins.
  • You may feel heat or a quick sting with each pulse; cooling may be used.

After

  • Redness or slight swelling is common for a short while.
  • Avoid saunas, hot baths and strenuous exercise for the first days.
  • Don't scratch or rub the treated area.
  • Use sun protection and skip sunbeds.
  • If anything worries you or a problem comes up, check in with Magda.
