Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 September 2026
These terms apply to all treatments and services provided by Elite Aesthetics (“we”, “the studio”), 25 North Bridge Street, Bathgate EH48 4PJ, United Kingdom. By booking an appointment or using our services, you accept the terms below.
1. Bookings and confirmations
Appointments can be made through the booking system on our website (including the LUCY assistant), as well as via Instagram and Facebook. A booking paid with a deposit is confirmed immediately — you do not wait for our approval and you get a confirmation email straight away. A booking made without online payment (for example when we arrange it by phone) is a request, and we confirm it by email within 24 hours.
2. Cancellations and rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule at any time — including a few hours before your appointment — from your account on the website or through the chat. You do not need to phone us and nobody will turn you away. We only ask that you tell us as early as you can: an hour we know about in advance is an hour we can offer to someone on the waiting list.
Appointments booked online are secured with a deposit (see section 5). The rules below cover changes you make; when we cancel an appointment, the whole payment comes back and it does not count as one of your changes.
- The first change — rescheduling or cancelling with at least 24 hours notice — is free: the whole payment moves to the new date or stays on your account as credit towards your next visit.
- There is no second reschedule on the same payment — you get 1 change per payment. The credit from your first change does not cover another date: to book one, you pay a deposit again. The same applies if you cancel after using your change — the payment stays with the salon.
- Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice and not turning up (no-show) mean the payment is forfeited in full.
The amount that would be forfeited is shown to you before you confirm, and the same sentence is recorded against your booking. We do not refund to your card; “forfeited” means it stays with the salon towards the reserved time that could not be filled.
If the reason is serious illness, an emergency, or anything else we should know about, please call or message us before your appointment. We look at those case by case.
3. Arriving on time
Please arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late we may need to shorten or reschedule the appointment to avoid affecting other clients.
4. Patch tests and contraindications
Selected treatments — including laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal and Keratin treatment — require a mandatory patch test, usually 24–48 hours before the appointment itself. This is a safety requirement. Without a valid patch test, a treatment may be declined.
Please tell us about any contraindications (including pregnancy, breastfeeding, photosensitivity, recent sun exposure, skin conditions, recent fillers, certain medications). If in doubt, please consult your doctor before the treatment.
5. Payment and deposit
Deposit. When you book online we take a deposit of 20% of the visit total, paid by card, to secure your slot. The deposit is applied in full to the price of your treatment, and the amount left to pay in the salon is spelled out for you — at checkout, on the confirmation screen and in your email.
What happens to the deposit. We do not refund it to your card. On the first change to a given payment the whole amount stays with us as credit on your account, which comes off your next booking automatically and is valid for 90 days. Once that change is used, on a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice and on a no-show the payment is forfeited — we keep 100% and no credit is created from it.
If we cancel. If we cancel or fail to provide the appointment for reasons on our side, the whole paymentcomes back to you and it does not count as one of your changes. By default as credit towards your next visit; if you would rather have it back on your card, write to us and we will arrange it by hand. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Klarna. For visits of £350 or more you can choose to pay with Klarna (pay later or in instalments, subject to Klarna's terms) instead of a deposit.
Balance. Settled at the end of the appointment — by card, cash or bank transfer. The current price list on our website applies; prices marked “quoted” are confirmed individually before your visit. Elite Aesthetics is not VAT-registered.
6. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 — including that a service is performed with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
7. Liability
We carry out treatments with reasonable care and skill, following manufacturer and product guidance. We are not responsible for outcomes that result from withholding relevant health information, failure to follow aftercare advice, or other circumstances outside the studio's control. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7a. Treatment simulator (AI visualisation)
The simulator on our website generates a visualisation of a treatment result using artificial intelligence, based on a description of our own work. The visualisation is illustrative only: it is not medical advice, not an offer of a specific result and not a commitment to achieve one. The real result depends on facial anatomy, the amount of product, the technique and the healing process, and may differ from the visualisation.
Prices shown next to the options come from the current price list and are indicative — the scope and price of a treatment are agreed at a consultation, at which we may also decline to carry out a treatment regardless of what the visualisation showed. The simulator is intended for adults only. How photos are processed is described in our Privacy Policy (section 2b).
8. Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we collect only what we need to deliver the service and bill you; we do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. As a consumer you keep access to UK consumer alternative-dispute-resolution mechanisms.
