Body treatments here are pressotherapy — a gentle air-compression massage in a special suit — and injection lipolysis. Both start with a short health check.
Before
- Tell us about pregnancy, heart conditions, high blood pressure, varicose veins or any history of blood clots — pressotherapy isn't suitable for everyone.
- Before pressotherapy, drink some water, eat only a light meal and use the bathroom just before the session.
- Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to change out of.
- Before injection lipolysis, avoid alcohol and occasional anti-inflammatory painkillers for a few days.
- After lipolysis the area is often swollen and tender for a few days, so wear loose clothing and plan around events.
- Lipolysis isn't a weight-loss treatment — we'll check at the consultation that it fits what you'd like to change.
During
- Pressotherapy: you lie down comfortably in the suit while it inflates and deflates in sequence — you'll feel firm, rhythmic pressure.
- Injection lipolysis: the area is marked and the product is injected in small amounts; you may feel stinging or burning for a short while.
After
- After pressotherapy, drink some water and carry on with your day.
- After lipolysis, swelling, tenderness, numbness or bruising are common for a few days — wear loose clothing.
- Avoid exercise, saunas and massaging the area until the swelling settles.
- If pain increases or the skin looks pale or dusky, contact Magda straight away.
